Hi!

My name is Ruel. I am so excited about this village just as all the families in Rebecca Dulo who are wanting to have the cooperative are also very excited. I and my wife, Malou, have been serving this village since 1998 first through fellowships, then through a feeding program for children, especially the malnourished.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE- Meet the Project Team

Welcome to the village of Rebecca Dulo! We are so happy that you've chosen to join our group.

Please take a few moments to post a message introducing yourself so that we can get to know you better. If you have a specific skill set that you think may be useful to our project, we'd love to know more. We are very grateful that you have chosen to volunteer your time with us and look forward to joining hands with you to make our project a success.

Help build an orphanage for the neediest orphans in Matopeni!

Step:
5

Many children at Matopeni school are orphans who are living under terrible circumstances. The big number of orphans is one of the worst consequences of the very quickly increasing HIV/AIDS epidemic. Many of the orphans are living with very poor and sometimes also mad guardians. Because of poverty and because of the burden of also having responsibility for their own children the guardians find the education of the orphans of being of little importance or not important at all.

Hi Tia,

This is a great start!

We have a literature review on School Feeding Programs (attached here) that I did a few months ago and incorporates some of the information from the WFP. They provide great information! USAID also has good info.

I'm going to try to open a wiki so that all the links can be put in one place - still have to figure out how to use it...

But as we find more programs that operate in Uganda or information on the costs of a program in Uganda, we can place them in the wiki.

Thanks and keep up the search!
