Discuss and develop a profit-sharing concept

Step:
1

The community has been considering a profit-sharing scheme instead of using the minimum wage to pay coop workers. They have consulted with an accountant-friend who has told them it is possible.

They would like to up the wage-rate in proportion to hours worked and profit-made by the coop. For this task, we are looking for people knowledgeable in business economics to help us work out how to do this and still comply with the cooperative code.

Making Contact with Help Organizations

Step:
5

The Kimilili village needs someone or numerous people to help us establish contact with various organizations who can help sponsor some of our projects.

We are setting up projects such as literacy, nutrition, and HIV/Aids youth programs and we need financial and material support. Our difficulty is that we do not know enough about how such organizations work to feel capable of approaching them. We need help establishing contact with these organizations to ask them how we can become beneficiaries of their programs.

We are in need of Nabuur neighbours who are willing to:

Create alternative sources of revenues

Step:
2

For the organization to become self-sustainable, alternative sources of income need to be brainstormed. These can include: commercializing handcrafted products, internet café, nursing, farming.

Define the tourism project

Step:
1

Arun Valley Concern Center would like to support tourism efforts throughout the Sankhuwashbha district of Nepal and draw more tourists into the region. In order to help us establish a clear direction forward, we need a good project definition.

What do we want to offer in terms of support to existing tourism agencies?

What support can we offer to the local community to allow them to benefit from the tourists that come through the area?

Help Tejanath complete a SWOT analysis

Step:
1

For our project to move forward, we need to first define what resources and barriers exist in order to appropriately plan a way forward.

Tejanath has been working on an initial SWOT analysis for the project and will post it here as a place to start. Please review the proposed project and background information in our village and help us list items to complete the SWOT analysis.
