Estimate the Cost for Building a Small Cooperative Store-Warehouse

In order for the cooperative to buy and sell rice, it will need a store and warehouse. The property is owned by Hope Center (a non-profit compassion ministry). The cooperative would like to build a small store-warehouse on the property.
I have just asked someone to survey the property and provide dimensions so that an architect could draw a master plan and an engineer could give us a list of materials. I will post the dimensions within the next few days.

I am also going to close this task tonight. Min has a basic diagram with measurements noted and has talked with a local builder, the community members, etc about responsibilities and distribution of labor needed to add the 2-room addition to the school. I think for now, we've done what we can with this task. We just need the funds to move forward.
The diagram is located in the powerpoint posted in the string of messages associated with this task and should also be visible on our resources page.

Help build a secondary school for Matopeni children!

The building of the primary school in Matopeni slum is already in phase two, it will be completed during the first half of 2009. There are already several children in the higher classes (class 7 and class 8) of the primary school who urgently need possibilities for further education and vocational training. These are children from very poor families or they are orphans. To get an education and a profession is the key for a better life and for a brighter future for the children.

Min has asked a local engineer to draw a budget for adding the two rooms to the school. Review this budget and advise on how it can be modified.
Design plans and cost estimates for the 2-room addition
Help Min describe the plan for adding the two rooms to the school. Who will do what? How will the local community contribute?

Min has been able to secure assistance for the construction of a new toilet at the school. He approached a local NGO and made an agreement with them for a 60/30/10 percent financial contribution-NGO (60), ECC (30) and local community (10). Min estimates that around $500 USD will be needed for ECC to meet the contribution they agreed to. I am expecting an itemized budget for that project from Min soon.
