Water melon(sugar baby type) is produced here every year .Traders from Kolakata purchase these stcocks regularly.This is a 3.5months crop here and farmers get around Rs.10,000/- per acre if no heavy cyclonic rain is  there.It is generally planted in January and harvesting is done in April.
