Create a Facebook Group featuring SESF
Step:
2
There are many Nepali people and others from around the world taking advantage of the social networking site Facebook. We would like to create a group on Facebook that showcases the Sankhuwasabha Education Scholarship Foundation and provides basic information to people who are interested. I believe based on the initial response from the Sankhuwasabha website and my own networking there that this may be one tool to help SESF effectively communicate information about their organization and what they do.
Is there anyone with a Facebook account willing to take on this task?

I added a group tonight on Facebook located here:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=44434422817
Pictures, recent news and information about sponsorship still need to be added. Tejanath what is the address for the SESF office?
Dear Jennifer
The address of SESF is
Sankhuwasabha Educatuion Scholarship Foundation (SESF)
Hihalaya Higher Secondary School Khandbari
Dist.Saknkhuwasabah.
Koshi Zone
Nepal
ph. 00977(029) 560205
e-mail sesf2345@ntc.net.np
Tejanath Pokharel
Khandbari Sankhuwasabah.
As of this evening, we have 10 supporters of SESF in the Facebook group. It looks like it sent out invitations to the Nepal network there which is great. I didn't realize it did that :) Tejanath, I really would like to see you able to log in there to see it and can walk you through how to manage the group too. Hopefully we'll catch up in chat in the next few days.
I still want to add information on how to sponsor a child along with the address.
We also need more pictures there. Several people from Facebook with ties to Nepal are living now in other locations, so I think it's nice to have recent pictures for them to look at of the school and other things SESF has been involved in.
Alyssa-we also need to get you added to the Facebook group-maybe you and Tejanath can administer it. I think this is going to be a really good tool. I hope anyway!
Okay, the Facebook group is created. I still need Tejanath and Alyssa to create an account there and join so that you can administer the group. It is very easy-not much to it at all. You just need to post updates about the organization once in awhile.
We have 21 group members there so far. More activity in the group will probably help you get more members. Many of the group members are from Nepal which I think will be a great benefit.
I am closing this task today since the group is created. If anyone else wants to join on Facebook, the group is located here:

Dear Jennifer,
I'm not so sure how it works. But you can also create another kind of account on facebook. It's called an cause. The adventage of this account is that it is easy for groupmembers to invite their facebook friends to becom a member of the group. And it's also possible to donate money. Do I need to research this option for you? You can find an example of a cause on this account: http://apps.facebook.com/causes/50764 it's from the orphanage in Peru where I did volunteer work.

I had looked at that as a possible option, but I think the cause has to be located or have an affiliation with a charity in the US. If you want to research it further and find out otherwise, I will gladly take a look at it again, but I am remembering for some reason this wouldn't work for SESF.
