Local reps introduction
Here in Jinja it is located in the eastern part of Uganda and it is a two hour drive from the capital of Uganda.
Most people here speak Lusoga and Swahilli because it was once an industrial town but it colapsed in the seventies where by it left the community without something to do. And many people who had come from all over Uganda/E.Africa ended up here as residents without anything to do, and they had children with time because they were unemployed most of the children fell out of school, which gave room for the crime to be on the increase.
The down fall of this town came as a result of wars in Uganda and the chasing of the Indians
who had established their bussineses in the area.
Thats why we come up with a plan to see how we can come out of the lack of employment and the many street children who are also caused by HIV/AIDS and some from war torn areas.
Most of them never went to school and now they are unemployed, so the story now remains recurring.
Thats why I come to spear head the our community not to remain behind but to have something to do.
And we came up with the idea that if we can put up a Vocational institute where by people can be job creaters other than job seekers.
This cann't be a one man's show thats why i come to you for advise , help, ideas, to accomplish this task.
You're most welcome with all that can make Jinja shine again!
Regards Paul Bulenzi .
