history

Jinja was once an industrial town as the owenfalls dam is four kilometres from the town. People came from different places of E.Africa to look for the green pasture but there came a time when there was a bad president and his regime saw off...

the Asians who were the people who were mainly running the Factories and these factories colapsed and the people just remained for they had no where to go. In 1987 there came a new regime which we thought would redeem Jinja but all was in vain all the industries never came up so people remained helpless for they did not have work so it ended to be like a market place or either a shopping centre where there is nothing much now going on .
