UPDATE DRAFT-African Diaspora Medical Project Application

Marge created the attached draft for the application to the African Diaspora Medical Project. There's been so much going on that we still have not mailed this out, but we also wanted to wait and see if we would be successful in securing the hospital beds through Friends of Kenya first-which we were, so, now the draft application needs to be updated.

Attached to this task, you will find Bramuel's original THET application. THET has recently contacted Bramuel again asking for clarification on some of the applications questions. Their questions are also attached along with a first draft of answers back to them. Please review both of these documents and make suggestions for how to best answer the questions posed with sufficient detail. We really want THET to be able to link the hospital appropriately, so all suggestions are welcome!
Prepare Final Report to Friends of Kenya

Now that Friends of Kenya accepted our proposal, Arrow-Web Hospital was able to purchase the remaining 8 hospital beds and bedding required to meet minimum standards for the NHIF accreditation inspection. As you know, the hospital passed the inspection on Monday. We now need to prepare a final report back to Friends of Kenya on the end result of their assistance.
Write a project proposal for obtaining Tiffin Boxes and Water Bottles for the Students

There is no easy access to clean water at Gamauli school. This often results in children leaving school early instead of being able to stay for the entire day. Min believes that if the school could provide each student with a Tiffin Box and Water Bottle that this would allow them to remain at school for the full day because the children could bring enough food and water with them. These have been priced at $4 USD and are available in Kathmandu and can be transported to Gamauli for distribution. 200 are needed.

The primary school for children who are deaf is in need of 2 personal computers and a printer. For this task, we are looking for a volunteer to help locate a person or organization who can provide one or all of these items and assist with shipping costs to the school location.

The school is in need of 20 mosquito nets for the children who live there. Mosquito nets can literally help save the life of a child. For this task, we need people to contact resources that can provide for the purchase and transport of 20 mosquito nets to the school.

Organizations have the best chance for long-term sustainability when they are supported financially by the local community. For this task, we are looking for your ideas-things that might be feasible for the local community to consider that could generate revenue for SESF to continue to meet their goals and objectives for years to come.
