The community wants to set up an income-generating activity (or activities) that can assist in making the school self-sustainable. Brainstorm ideas here.

For the organization to become self-sustainable, alternative sources of income need to be brainstormed. These can include: commercializing handcrafted products, internet café, nursing, farming.

There is land that can be used for income generation projects. Help the local community brainstorm the potential for this land.

One of the new plans of BEHOD is to start a hairdressers training. In order to start this training BEHOD needs equipment, which the Essent trainees are now looking for. Updates and ideas can go here... :-)

We'll have to find out if this idea would be suitable for Jinja too.

One of the ideas for income generating and training programs that came up is making solar panel torches. The idea would be to train BEHOD members in making these torches (or other products) and set up a small business. This way the centre can sustain itself and the PWDs would be able to earn their own income.
