Help to stock up the library with books and resource material

Step:
1

The education centre has established a small library, but it needs to be filled with books and resource materials.

Here is a summary from my chat with Christopher earlier this morning-

BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT NOTRE DAME HIGH SCHOOL:

Research and Identify Organizations that Support Educational Programs

Step:
3

For this task, we are seeking volunteers to help identify organizations that providing funding or other forms of support, such as volunteers, to schools in developing countries. Please include contact information and/or web links as well as requirements for submitting proposals.

100 Votes Achieved-Now on to Fundraising!

The Gamauli/Yoshinkhel project proposal achieved all 100 votes of support needed to move on to the next phase of fundraising today!

Share your Fundraising Ideas

Step:
3

We need you to help us brainstorm creative fundraising ideas!

Have you been involved with fundraising efforts at a local school or community organization? We are looking for creative ideas for fundraisers that ECC might be able to implement in Nepal. Research can be done on the Internet for this task, or you can simply share from experience.

We would like to create a "bank" of ideas, so that ECC can learn from the experience of others and try utilizing some of these different strategies to help fund their work in Nepal.

Research and Identify Volunteer Organizations

Step:
2

Many people who travel to Nepal to volunteer also go trekking. For this task, we would like to research and again develop a database of volunteer organizations who place volunteers in Nepal many times to help in the schools. This research will be used to reach out and establish relationships with organizations who may be interested in learning more about the Sankhuwasabha district and all it has to offer those who come to visit.

Hi Tia,

This is a great start!

We have a literature review on School Feeding Programs (attached here) that I did a few months ago and incorporates some of the information from the WFP. They provide great information! USAID also has good info.

I'm going to try to open a wiki so that all the links can be put in one place - still have to figure out how to use it...

But as we find more programs that operate in Uganda or information on the costs of a program in Uganda, we can place them in the wiki.

Thanks and keep up the search!

Barb

Hi Everyone,

We need some volunteers to gather information on organizations working in Uganda that offer school feeding programs. If anyone has any information or contacts, or would like to gather research on this, please do so!

Barb
